Foster's Lab

Our Story

Foster's Lab is a reinvigorated family brand that was founded in the late 1800's.  What was once a family owned chain of stores in Ohio and the Midwest is now an innovative skincare brand that is solving skincare issues for a modern consumer.  Co-founders Anthony Shook (nephew) and Thomas Siebenaler (uncle) bring entrepreneurial and pharmaceutical experience together as they write the next chapter of the Foster's story.

Fosters Family Brand

Thomas Gilman (T.G.) Foster, Anthony’s great-great-grandfather, founded the Foster’s brand in 1895. The brand opened as a general convenient store quickly developing into a local chain spread throughout Ohio and the Midwest.  Over the years the Foster's brand grew to multiple locations.  After many successful years of business the family had to make the hard decision to close the chain of stores.  Now, with the help of Thomas and Anthony the Foster's name will live on.

Co-founder, Thomas Siebenaler is a highly skilled Quality and Compliance professional with more than 27 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/FDA-regulated industry. During his career, Thomas worked with many prescription and over-the-counter treatments for acne, dermatitis, psoriasis, and skin blemishes, including cleansers, lotions, ointments, gels, creams, shampoos, and pads.

He aspired to develop and offer advanced, high-quality products to people who have yet to find their perfect skincare solutions. Together with his nephew, Thomas is proud to deliver a skincare line that promises to do just that. He feels fortunate he can bring his experience, knowledge and excitement to a new generation and begin this new chapter in the Fosters’ family name.

Co-founder, Anthony Shook has many years of entrepreneurial experience under his belt, and decided it was time to make another dream come true.  Initially, his uncle and himself brainstormed and created skincare products as a personal solution for themselves. The two decided to create their own remedy to protect against skin damage caused by blue light exposure from modern technology. In developing the products, the duo knew others could benefit from their work, and the Foster’s Lab brand was born.
